Athletes with an interest in pursuing volleyball beyond social and entry-level competition are able to access a number of programs that offer a greater degree of intensity, providing a pathway to or directly being elite performance programs.

Volleyball Victoria State Team
Volleyball Victoria annually compete in the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships (AJVC) and undertake trials and regular trainings for selected athletes. Divisions currently include: U15, U17, & U19 male and female.
Maribyrnong Sports Academy (MSA)
Maribyrnong College is an “athlete friendly” school and hosts the Maribyrnong Sports Academy. Through investment from the Victorian Government and in compliance with a set of standards implemented by the Department of Education, the College delivers the vision of Victoria’s first government sports specialist school.
Maribyrnong Sports Academy provides elite junior volleyball players with a training program specifically designed to assist each individual in their pathway towards State, National and International representation in either Indoor or Beach Volleyball.
The MSA provides a high performance technical training environment, delivered in state of the art facilities. The preparation of all MSA volleyball scholarship holders is enhanced through the Athlete Development Program, which provides specialist services in strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, nutrition, sport psychologists and exercise rehabilitation.

A longtime Volleyball Victoria affiliate, GMVA is the leading volleyball Academy in Australia, having seven different training groups to reflect the athletes’ different needs throughout their development.
