VVI Seeking Event Staff for the Schools Cup Three Day Event.

Volleyball Victoria is currently seeking Court Supervisors for our upcoming Schools Cup Three Day Event.

The largest event organized by Volleyball Victoria is fast approaching, the Volleyball Victoria School Cup Three Day Event is in late July (Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 July) at the State Volleyball Centre and involves over 25 different Victorian Schools, with over 140 teams across up to 23 divisions.

The Court Supervisor role is crucial to the success and smooth running of the Event. As a Court Supervisor, you are often the first point of contact for schools, participants and parents which means the impression they get from you goes a long way. Each Supervisor will be allocated a selection of courts to manage during their shift. Please find below an outline of the core responsibilities of a Court Supervisor.

General Responsibilities of a Court Supervisor:

  • Ensure all courts are set-up and maintained correctly, including net heights
  • Ensure games are starting on time and courts run to schedule
  • Ensure scoresheets are completed correctly and are handed in
  • Ensure playing areas are safe for use and free of any dangers (ie. Liquid spills, food, glass etc)
  • Ensure venue is kept clean and tidy
  • Be familiar with tournament rules, regulations, and fixtures
  • Ensure all equipment (ie match balls) are returned

Event Details:

  • Friday 28 July (matches to be run from 8:00AM up to 11:00PM)
  • Saturday 29 July (matches to be run from 8:00AM up to 11:00PM)
  • Sunday 30 July (matches to be run from 8:00AM up to 11:00PM)
  • All games are to be held at the State Volleyball Centre in Dandenong
  • Court Supervisors will be paid $130.000 per shift.

12:00pm Finish (approx.. 5:00pm)
