Volleyball Victoria have successfully earned 5 Silver and 5 Bronze Medals at the recent 2017 AJVC tournament in Coomera, Queensland.

Victoria was well-represented with 16 teams across 11 divisions – more than any other representative state or country.

Queensland contested all gold medal matches, winning 10 of the 11 on offer including 5 of the 6 championship matches. A record achievement in the 28 year history of the event.

The Gold medal haul plus two silvers also meant Queensland comfortably claimed the President’s Cup as the overall best on 17 points. South Australia came in second on 9 points. Victoria shortly followed on 6 points.

With almost 900 participants coming from all over Australia, New Zealand and Samoa to compete at a very high standard, the future of Indoor Volleyball looks very bright indeed.
