Volleyball Victoria have returned home from the AJBVC held in Bunbury, WA with a Silver medal and Bronze medal in the Under 15 age groups.

Victoria was well-represented with 54 athletes across 6 divisions hitting the sand for the four-day competition. The Victorian squad were lucky to be treated with warm weather in late April as a comforting change for the end of the Beach Volleyball season.

Under 15 Girls competed against their own state in a bid for the Bronze Medal match with Talia Samuel, Isabella Maticevski and Kira Woodward taking home 3rd place.

The Under 15 Boys Will Kay, Sam Kay and Oliver Diano competed against QLD for the U15 Boys Gold however the Sunshine State were too good on the day.
Spirits are high within the Beach State Team program with an emphasis on development ahead of next year’s program looking as prosperous as ever before.

Volleyball Victoria would like to thank helloworld Travel – Helensvale Plaza, Melbourne Beaches Volleyball Association and VicBeach for the continued support of the Beach State Team program. Travelling to Bunbury alone was an enormous effort from all involved and it was great to come home with smiles and the hunger to improve in 2019.

The 2018 Beach State Team program will conclude at the upcoming Blue and White Jacket Dinner night scheduled for June 3rd in St. Kilda.
